[It was the closest that Vegeta got to actual training. He couldn't use his powers as far as he was aware-- he could still sense ki, but it was spare and few and far between. He had seen people that he couldn't sense. It was strange, aggravating, and made him angry. He tried to fly, managing to hover a couple inches off of the ground as he glanced around at the gym equipment before he collapsed, panting slightly.

Damn. So much of his strength was gone. He wouldn't be able to break out in the way he normally would.

He'd find a way out. He'd find someone who knew, and then he would make his escape. All Vegeta had to do was find someone who he could use, and find a way for his powers to be returned.]

[Arthas was in the gym twice a day and the CES at least once, every day, like clockwork. After two years here if you didn't get some sort of routine you would go insane. More insane.

Even out of his plate armor, he was more than six feet tall, and his insistence on wearing black didn't help his dead-white skin.

The temperature might have dropped just imperceptibly when he came in. Or it could be your imagination.]

[Vegeta turned his head at the slight, very slight drop in temperature. Someone new, well, at least, someone he hadn't seen before. The temperature difference was probably nothing, but it didn't mean he was going to ignore the stranger. He frowned, and decided not to waste any time with smalltalk.]

This room is well equipped. Do you come here to hone your strength as well?

And maintain it. You're new.

[It wasn't a question.]

I suppose thanks are in order. It will give me something to do.

[darknessb4me]

[Arthas' lip curled.]

Not enough.

[Out of habit, he wandered to the fencing gear and picked up his favored foil. Left hand today; both were boring but he'd fought with the right yesterday.]

[His head tilts, curious, following Arthas because why not? He's never found much practical use for fighting with a sword, but maybe it'll pass the time.]

What sort of weapons are those? They don't seem very sharp.

Practice swords. You won't find anything sharper.

[He sneers again, and tosses Vegeta a foil without warning, hilt-first.]

[He catches the weapon deftly.]

They're better than no weapon at all.

[darknessb4me]

[And then, again without warning, Arthas starts into an aggressive attack pattern at Vegeta with his own foil. It isn't deadly, but only because it's a practice sword.]

[He matches the attack, exert more energy than he normally would. He's not used to sword fights, but the fact that these are only practice weapons keeps him from thinking it's a fight to the death.]

[Kay is beating up a punching bag in a full suit. But Vegeta does attract his attention and he pauses, because hovering is a little unusual.

Looks like that wore him out though, and he raises an eyebrow.]

[He glares from the floor before he speaks.]

This place.... what powers does this ship have in place?

[most_feared]

It restricts your access to your abilities if you're an inmate. They're returned to you over time as you're observed to be not a threat to the other inhabitants of the ship. When you get a warden that is.

[He squints.] Only met a few flyers, though. What species?

[tailless]

[A human who was aware of other races? And he didn't seem to be a warrior. At least, not in the same way that Kakarot's human allies were. Given where he was, he saw no need to lie. It would do the Saiyans no good to keep their race a secret in any case, even if they were unknown to this man.]

Saiyan.

[most_feared]

There's never been one of you aboard before. So I don't know how much it got you. [He knows that there were some races in his universe that were strong and could fly. Not many looking so human though.]

We're not easy to sneak up on.

[He's actually rather disappointed that there's never been another Saiyan on board. He'll need someone else to look for to fight. Someone who would understand.]

[most_feared]

This ship has taken some near omnipotent folks and given them a damn hard time. You wouldn't be the first. [He doesn't know if that helps or not, but it's certainly true.]

That's...

[Well, he won't so impossible, because he's without nearly all of his power here.]

This ship must be run by a very powerful man.

[Stronger than Freeza. That's actually rather frightening.]

[most_feared]

Still fallible enough to be a terrible driver. [There will never be an end to how Kay hates the Admiral's driving. Never.]

[That makes him laugh. It's a sharp bark, but it's as close to a genuine laugh as he can get.]

You'd think he'd be more careful.

[most_feared]

[He snorts.] I think he's as careful as he has to be and no more. Doesn't seem like this is his mission- just one he got put up to.

Just the driver then, eh?

I wonder who is in charge of this place beyond him.
